Just me - 05. Are you blind
There's a child lying in the dust, a man who sleeps where no one must
The ocean's choking on our waste, yet we just scroll in quiet haste
The skies burn black, the rivers fade, the glaciers mourn the light of day
You talk a lot in heated rooms, but don't look out through all the fumes
Are you blind, or just afraid to see, how much more will there be
Are you deaf, or just lost in your sound, while the world breaks all around
The earth cries softly, like a child, and still you ask, are you blind
The rich toast victories in gold, while hunger grows, and hearts turn cold
The laws are bent behind closed doors, and truth gets buried under wars
But there's a fire inside your chest, a quiet power, a stubborn rest
Why do you gaze up at the stars, and not see home through broken glass
Are you blind, or just too used to light, do you sleep through the night
Are you numb, or did you trade your voice, for silence dressed as choice
The world still whispers, soft and kind, but asks again, are you blind
You hold the world inside your hands, yet watch it crumble
Where it stands, how many signs will pass you by, before you dare to ask why
Are you blind, or scared of what you'd see, the truth behind the screen
Are you lost, or just forgot the way, to feel, to fight, to stay
The world still reaches, like a child, and wonders still, are you blind.
A raw, urgent reflection on humanity’s dangerous habit of looking away—choosing comfort, distraction, and denial while suffering, corruption, and environmental collapse unfold in plain sight—meant to shake the listener into seeing, feeling, and acting before it’s too late.
